Self-censorship or not?

Okay, this is quite a volatile title, covering a much more subtle question:

Should the posts on a planet (like planet.opensource.dk) be 100% relevant or is it more of a people-behind-the-movement sort of thing?

The question arose in my own mind as I am getting tired of deciding for each post that I make (I don't make that many, but still...), whether it is planet-material or not. I originally chose to have a seperate 'planet'-tag on my blog, mainly because I really didn't want to post irrelevant stuff to public places.

However, I have found that it is the 'irrelevant' posts that tells you about the people in the 'movement'. And I have also found that this those posts are at least as interesting to me than the on-topic ones.

Other than this philosophical debate, the real question to myself and any reader that should wander by is whether I should leave the planet, or open up the floodgates and stop censoring my own posts?

PS: I tried to get out of deciding this for myself, when I wrote an e-mail to planet@opensource.dk to hear the admins' thoughts on the matter. However, that address does not seem to exist. What to do?
